The S&P Global US Composite PMI rose to 54.3 in October 2024, up from 54.0 in September, signaling solid business activity growth at the start of the fourth quarter, preliminary data showed. This expansion was driven by the service sector (PMI at 55.3), while manufacturing output contracted for the third consecutive month (PMI at 47.8). Employment fell slightly for the third month, reflecting uncertainty ahead of the Presidential Election.
