Finland’s unemployment rate rose to 9.9% in June 2025 from 8.3% in the same month of the previous year. The number of unemployed persons climbed by 52 thousand from a year earlier to 294 thousand, while the number of employed persons declined by 23 thousand to 2.673 million. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for people aged 15 to 24 increased to 22.2%, which was 6.8 percentage points higher than a year ago. The activity rate for persons aged 15 to 74 went up to 71.2% from 70.8% a year ago, while the employment rate for persons aged 20 to 64 decreased to 77.2% from 78.2%.
