Indonesia will launch an anti-dumping import duty on nylon film from China, Thailand, and Taiwan, according to a finance ministry regulation issued Wednesday. Effective this month and lasting four years, the duty will range from IDR 1,254 to 31,510 rupiah per kilogram, targeting specific companies from the three countries. The decision follows an investigation by Indonesia's anti-dumping committee, which found that these imports harmed local industries. Nylon is utilized in packaging for both food and industrial products, as well as in the pharmaceutical, electronics, and textile industries. Despite this measure, China remains Indonesia’s largest trade partner.
