Total orders received by Swedish industry rose by 7.3% year-on-year in August 2025, reversing a 1.4% drop in the previous month. The increase was driven by a rebound in domestic demand which climbed 3.0%, reversing a 1.2% drop in the previous month. At the same time, foreign orders increased 10.0% from 0.1%.On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, new orders rose by 7.2%, following a 2.4% decline in the previous month. Most industrial subsectors saw positive developments in both domestic and export markets compared to July. Year-to-date, total industry orders were 5.3% higher than in the same period last year.
