Kosovo posted a trade deficit of EUR 530 million in October 2025, widening from EUR 493 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, as imports rose more than exports. Year-on-year, imports increased by 7.2% to EUR 621.8 million, driven by transport (13.4%), machinery mechanical and electrical equipment (12.5%), prepared foods, beverages and tobacco (11.7%), mineral products (11.2%), and basic metals (9.9%). The largest import partners were Germany (15.7%), Italy (5.8%), and Poland (3.4%). Meanwhile, exports grew at a softer 5.1% to EUR 91.8 million, with basic metals (21%) accounting for the biggest share, followed by plastics and rubber (12.5%), various manufactured articles (10.8%), prepared foods, beverages and tobacco (10.5%), and mineral products (8.9%). Main export destinations included Germany (12.9%), the Netherlands (3.2%), and Italy (2.7%).
