$PURPE is a community-led token originally deployed on the Solana blockchain in July 2023 and is also available on BNB Smart Chain. It is recognized as the first Purple Pepe created on Solana. The project is managed by the WallStreetBets Facebook community, which consists of over 580,000 members, following a community takeover over a year ago. Since the CTO, the community has maintained development and expanded the ecosystem through the launch of web applications, games, and a community-built website.
